News Roundup: Our new midfielder is almost fit!

Not much news today, as is to be expected during any international break. Apparently, our new Portuguese midfielder, Amaury Bischoff, is almost fit and ready to join the first-team. In this article on the official website, Bischoff says he's "nearly pain-free and hope[s] to be back as soon as possible." He goes on to say that he should be joining up with the team for training "in two weeks". Now, Bischoff is a virtual unknown in football, and even Arsene Wenger said that he took a "risk" in signing Bischoff. Hopefully he proves to be a good signing, and we'll know later on this season if he was.

In other news, Le Boss says he has "complete confidence in Capello to turn things right", despite England's recent loss to the Czech Republic. Good for him. I certainly hope he's right, but at this point, I'm not sure any manager will solve the inherent problems in the England squad. In fact, for those who missed it, England are down to 15th in the world rankings. What exactly this means I'm not sure, but it does highlight the fact that we need to get the national team back on track.

Finally, Joey Barton has been punished today by the FA. Six games is not enough for me: he deserves a lifelong ban from football. The guy is a horrible role model for young children watching on TV, and his despicable smirk toward Nasri at the weekend after that horrible tackle sickened me. But that's enough of a waste of space talking about Barton, let's get off the topic before I vomit.

That's all the news I've got today. Really nothing else is happening at the moment, so I guess we'll just have to "enjoy" the internationals this weekend and hope that we get through it with none of our players injured. Wishing for the best of luck to all Arsenal players this weekend,

Fab 4
