News Roundup: "City would be suicide"

Time for today's News Roundup, and have I mentioned how much I like Cesc Fabregas? Today our Spanish Fab 4 was quoted as saying,

"It would be suicidal for my career at my 21 years of age to move to City. It would make no sense."

Truly a class act, Cesc. Again and again he has had to dismiss press reports of him leaving The Arsenal, and time and time again he has done it by pledging his future to the club. Now he says a move to newly-rich Man City would be "suicidal". Gotta' love the guy.

In other news, our reserve team beat Bristol City's reserves 4-0 today. This shows how great our youth system is. Just one look at our reserves and it makes you begging for the future to get here already, because almost all of them look to be world-class players in the making.

Finally, as we mentioned a couple days ago, Stephen Appiah was linked to us. Today he was asked by the English press about a move to Arsenal. He replied,
“There are talks, there are talks – I can’t say anything yet.”

This confirms that Arsenal are after the Ghanaian midfielder, but whether or not he will sign is another question. Hopefully so, we could use an experienced defensive midfielder. Whilst our midfield is already full of players, surely a bit of experience couldn't hurt? And, as I've mentioned before, whether or not he works out for us, we're guaranteed to make a profit by selling him, so why not get him?

That's all the big news today. It's WC Qualifying day, but I probably won't watch anything on TV, maybe some highlights later but I couldn't care less if the Faroe Islands lose away to Serbia, or even if England or France or Germany lose: Arsenal are the team that get my support, no matter where I live or which national team I support. Anyway, till next time,

Fab 4

  3. Fab 4 good luck with your blog.

Is there any way that you can keep it moderated so people can talk without abusing each other, it would make it a nicer place to blog then?

  4. Yes, actually there is, although it's not very convenient. If you go to your blog settings page and go to the "comments" section of your settings, look for "comment moderation" and select "always" to comment moderation. this will allow you to review comments before they are published. A link will appear on your dashboard when there are comments to review.
    Good luck!

  5. Fab 4 I mean't you moderate the comments so as nobody insults each other.
These blogs turn into slanging matches (read the Wrighty one where he has a go at Keegan (it was war).

Try Le Grove up to 2000 comments a day moderated by two tp fella's.
